The two bottles above each have a purpose. It's not what you see, but what's in them that fulfills their purpose. They are the vessels to distribute their products for the satisfaction of the people "in need" of them. So it is with us! We are the vessels of the only product on this planet that has the capability to solve every need: JESUS CHRIST!
.
The last week of the year, I addressed this concept in different ways on this blog. Yesterday, I shared with you about my friend Tanya who had found the secret of still being a vessel in the most difficult of circumstances. She knew her purpose was to continue to be a vessel in spite of the chips and the cracks.
.
In this picture of broken ketchup and mustard bottles, I think of Tanya's comment that I posted yesterday, "I have seen many who do not have God in their lives just fall and crumble to the ground."
.
Last night, as I was cleaning up my home office (which by the way looked much worse than the aisle above), I found a stack of index cards with comments written on them by women last summer in our last class of studying the woman of Proverbs 31. Each woman shared one thing that she would take from the class. There are no coincidences with God! I came across these cards for a reason - to share the top 3 with you today!
.
CARD #1: "The Proverbs woman was a woman of purpose: a woman of God will allow Him to dictate her purpose, rather than look to the world for guidance. This thought opened my eyes to the fact that I should set my mind (with God's Holy Spirit guidance) and stay on course."
.
CARD #2: "Our goal should be to bring glory to God in everything we do! To me, that includes doing the wash, cooking, raising and loving my kids, and submitting to and loving my husband."
.
CARD #3: "To find my place in the world... my legacy.... what will it be? I just want to be a woman after God's own heart...having more of God's wisdom and knowledge of His word will be my gift from God and to God..."
.
Tanya left the kind of legacy that our 3 sisters talk about above. Here is Tanya with her two daughters. Please pray for her husband, Tom and their six children: Tim, Chris, Justin, Mary, Stephen, and Erin to FIX THEIR EYES ON JESUS, which is all that Tanya longs for.
In fact, please join me in the month of January and we'll memorize the verses that you can find written out above this post: Hebrews 12:1-3. Tanya is now in that "great cloud of witnesses".

I just found your blog through Laura's Heavenly Homemakers. I can't wait to join you on the journey of being transformed. I am trying to memorize verses and I will add Hebrews 12:1-3 to my notebook. Thanks for sharing. I am so inspired!
