Today, I wanted to show this video with some other comments, but since I just got home, I'll omit the comments and say,
.
This is a blog for women (not just moms) who:
(1) Desire to be transformed by JESUS' LOVE, HOLINESS, AND GRACE;
(2) Believe that GOD'S WORD is the true Spirit food for HIS HOLY SPIRIT who lives within us;
(3) Submit to GOD and walk this journey of life with HIM transforming us more and more into HIS likeness.
It's a blog about the POWER OF TRANSFORMED LIVES. Let's begin with yours and mine and pass it on... 1 + 1 + 1...
Since GOD's HOLY SPIRIT lives inside a christian, let's choose to be nurtured and transformed by feasting daily on HOLY SPIRIT food - GOD's WORD - The Holy Bible..
My regular posts stopped in 2013, with a major move and the chronic illness and eventual death of our oldest daughter. Yes, we grieve daily, yet I am determined to continue to let the LIGHT of my LORD and SAVIOR shine through me. I have tried to start posting again, over the last few years, but have not been consistent. So, I think the biggest blessing for you and me both will be to intersperse some new posts while revisiting some of the former posts. Let's begin with "Oh, the JOY!" as we head into living through Fall 2019; meeting back here 1-2 days a week.
If you need daily encouragement, you will find plenty by clicky on past posts. When reading earlier posts, you will see that I often posted daily, following this format: ...Sunday in the SON, Meditation Monday, GratiTuesday, Women in the WORD Wednesday, Transforming Thursday, Family Fellowship Friday, Ketchup & Mustard Saturday.
There's a whole lot here! Take your time to browse.
Please come back and visit each week. Welcome!
Because of JESUS, we can be family,
Patti

I have lived many years being motivated by guilt. I want to please God. I don't want to do the wrong thing. Recently, I've determined that thinking not to be such smart thinking. In order to please God, I need GRACE motivation.
.
Greg's class led me to think in the following way:
.
Today, I'm thinking that if I'm really SMART, I will meditate on verse 9 on my journey to becoming POOR IN SPIRIT.

~BLESSED~

What a joy to know the Creator of the universe and be used in His service!
1/11/11Today is a great day to ask yourself some questions about your life!
.
Where are you today?
· Are you ashamed of your past?
· Are you apathetic to the life given you?
· Are you scared of what God wants from you?
· Are you drowning in your poor choices?
· Are you alone in your journey?
· Are you disappointed with your role?
· Are you hiding from the truth?
.
· Are you shackled by your sin…
.
I’m not sure where you are today. But I know where He was that day.
· He was standing in your place.
· He was surrendered to God’s will.
· He was mocked before men.
· He was unwavering through torture.
· He was nailed to a tree.
.
· He was burdened with your sin…
I’m not sure where you are today. But I know what He was doing for you that day.
· Oh, death, where is your sting?
· Oh, pride, where is your sting?
· Oh, pornography, where is your sting?
· Oh, fear, where is your sting?
· Oh, hell, where is your sting?
· Oh, divorce, where is your sting
· Oh, selfishness, where is your sting?
.
.
I’m not sure where you are today. But I know where you could be.
· You could be a new creation.
· You could be one with Him again.
· You could come awake with Christ today.
.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

MEDITATION MONDAY
I love my church family! I love our preachers! I love my LORD and the way He works through all of them!
Jesus of Nazareth, the child who they raised, is our walking, living, breathing example of FAITH, HOPE, AND LOVE. In fact, in reading the definition of LOVE, we can do it this way:
Here in our weakness You find us
Falling before Your throne
Oh, we're falling before Your throne.
.
Toward the end of Steve's part, he put a picture up on the screen of our church family. He spoke of us being Jesus with skin on. In order for that to happen, we have to be a people in LOVE with our LORD... who are being led by His Spirit... Colossians 1:27 ends with,
...Christ in you,
the HOPE of glory.
The Baby from Bethlehem became The Man who knew where His HOPE lie... His FAITH in the Father remained steadfast... His LOVE was perfect:
I'm thankful today that God very simply gives me the power to make a difference.
MY PRAYER IS THAT THEY PASS IT ON... PAY IT FORWARD... IT'LL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN OUR WORLD BEFORE THE END OF 2010... BECAUSE THERE IS THE POWER OF 3!
.
THANK YOU, JESUS!
Romans 5:1-8 Jesus, over and above all that, it is amazing to me that You willingly came down from heaven as IMMANUEL (God with us!) Then, when You returned to heaven, You wanted us to know that You would remain with us as You chose to *IN-MAN-YOU-DWELL*! Thank You for such GRACE! Thank You, the Creator, for loving me!
I've thought a lot about how hard it is to go down this path of life, full of enormous challenges, and not let myself say, "If only..." OR to look to the future and not be discouraged. I went to, my daughter-in-love, Jacqueline's blog the other day and she had changed the words in her header to read, "Learning to live in the present moment is part of the path to joy." Ah, yes! That sounds like another take on "Keep rejoicing as you persevere in your suffering!"
.Dan, had another take on this concept yesterday morning. Steve always begins his sermons with "God Is Good All The Time..." and the congregation responds "...And All The Time God Is Good." Yesterday, was Dan's turn to preach (they each preach half the sermons each year at our Sunday morning church services). Dan began his sermon the way that Steve usually does. In fact, Dan's whole sermon was about G.I.G.A.T.T.A.A.T.T.G.I.G.
.
Dan listed a bunch of really rough stuff that the people in our church family have gone through... deaths, divorce, chronic illness, cancer, loss of finances, loss of homes... he confessed the times that he could not say GIGATTAATTGIG. He kept us focused on Romans 8:28
Dan emphasized that God is good ALL the time, it doesn't say that everything in a christian's life is good. In fact, if we connect this verse with our scipture for this month, we can see that for those who love God, it is in the journey of suffering and perseverance and character building that the working for good and hope prevails.
.
One of Dan's illustrations was a ruler and a yardstick. We get discouraged because we only see things from our perspective and not from God's. The ruler represented a person's life from birth to physical death. The yardstick (with infinite arrows on both ends) represented God's life/perspective.
Today, as I consider God's good and much bigger perspective, I recommit to joyfully persevere in suffering as I believe that GIGATTAATTGIG. I imagine myself standing at the foot of the cross as I let His blood drip down on me. I sing "I stand in awe of You, Jesus. I stand in awe of You! I'll let my words be few... Jesus, I am so in love with You."
.
Thank you, Jesus for:

In the midst of the battle, when I choose to fix my eyes on Jesus, two things often come to mind:
Today, I share with you three videos, of the same song, that have all impacted me in different ways. They all say to me, "Welcoe to THE TABLE OF GRACE!" Maybe because I am someone who loves the "one another passages" in the Bible or that I am a special educator, I especially love the third video! Be sure and pause the playlist above before watching. Enjoy! Be encouraged!
.
"Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited." Romans 12:16
"Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves." Romans 12:10

.
I've thought a lot about the week Jesus had between Palm Sunday and the cross. His faithful perseverance and endurance is amazing! I've thought about where Mary was during that week, also. I'd like to visit with you today about that last week of Jesus' life. Since I've already had my burger. How about I talk and you eat?!!!?!??!
.
I'd like to recap His last week by listing what happened each day and then putting the Gospel Zip Codes for your easy reference. A Gospel Zip code tells you all the places in the gospels a certain story is found. For instance, Jesus Feeding the 5,000 is found in 14, 696. That means that story is found in Matthew 14, Mark 6, Luke 9, and John 6.
.

I have such an honor to be my husband's helper! As part of that role, I help our children. I am not the same person I was in 1981 when I became a mother for the first time. God has continued to mold and shape me into the helper who He has wanted me to be. Today, I am thankful for the Biblical challenge that this video gives us all to be helpers! Be sure and pause the playlist above before viewing this short and wonderful video!

Ephesians 2:9-10
"...not by works,
so that no one can boast. .
For we are
God's workmanship (masterpiece),
created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do. . ."
.
Ephesians 2:4-104
"But because of his great love for us,
God, who is rich in mercy,
5 made us alive with Christ
even when we were dead in transgressions-
it is by grace you have been saved.
6 And God raised us up with Christ
and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms
in Christ Jesus,
7 in order that in the coming ages He might
show the incomparable riches of His grace,
expressed in
His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
8 For it is by grace you have been saved,
through faith-and this not from yourselves,
it is the gift of God-
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
10 For we are God's workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do."
