It is GOD who BLESSES and TRANSFORMS...

This is a blog for women (not just moms) who:

(1) Desire to be transformed by JESUS' LOVE, HOLINESS, AND GRACE;

(2) Believe that GOD'S WORD is the true Spirit food for HIS HOLY SPIRIT who lives within us;

(3) Submit to GOD and walk this journey of life with HIM transforming us more and more into HIS likeness.

It's a blog about the POWER OF TRANSFORMED LIVES. Let's begin with yours and mine and pass it on... 1 + 1 + 1...

Since GOD's HOLY SPIRIT lives inside a christian, let's choose to be nurtured and transformed by feasting daily on HOLY SPIRIT food - GOD's WORD - The Holy Bible..

My regular posts stopped in 2013, with a major move and the chronic illness and eventual death of our oldest daughter. Yes, we grieve daily, yet I am determined to continue to let the LIGHT of my LORD and SAVIOR shine through me. I have tried to start posting again, over the last few years, but have not been consistent. So, I think the biggest blessing for you and me both will be to intersperse some new posts while revisiting some of the former posts. Let's begin with "Oh, the JOY!" as we head into living through Fall 2019; meeting back here 1-2 days a week.

If you need daily encouragement, you will find plenty by clicky on past posts. When reading earlier posts, you will see that I often posted daily, following this format: ...Sunday in the SON, Meditation Monday, GratiTuesday, Women in the WORD Wednesday, Transforming Thursday, Family Fellowship Friday, Ketchup & Mustard Saturday.

There's a whole lot here! Take your time to browse.

Please come back and visit each week. Welcome!

Because of JESUS, we can be family,

Patti

TRANSFORMED MOMS:MOMS TRANSFORMED

Romans 12:1-2 "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

I AM...ABOVE ALL...YOUR FATHER...AND I RUN TO YOU...

As we begin our summer study of THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN: Separating Truth from Tale, please join me for the first of many weeks in thanking God for the W's!
.

Father God,

We are so grateful that You have made each of us WOMAN! Thank You so much for considering us to be of great value - WORTH! We are so proud of You! You are the GREAT I AM! You are above all other gods and we know that full well. And we can call You Abba (Daddy).
.
Because of Jesus, we are family,
Amen

It's amazing to look at the story of the Prodigal Son in Luke 15. I love the whole story...but just focus with me, starting with verse 19, for a minute:
.

"And he got up and came to his father.
But while he was still a long way off,
his father saw him,
and felt compassion for him,
and ran and embraced him,
and kissed him.
And the son said to him,
'Father, I have sinned
against heaven and in your sight;
I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'
But the father said..."
.
Let's get started answering the question of the week:

  • "Why do so many women feel so worthless?"

.

Sometimes it does reflect our upbringing...environment...personalities... For some of you, it is almost impossible to picture a loving running father. So, today it is provided here for you.

.

Two "transformed moms" who come regularly to this blog, Vanessa and Cristi, worship with the Fairfax church of Christ near DC. Their church family made a video for this Father's Day weekend. Vanessa's husband and daughter are in the video. Be sure and pause the playlist above before pushing play on the video below.

.
Consider the WORTH of the children pictured in this video... what is their WORTH in the eyes of their fathers? Consider your WORTH in the eyes of your heavenly FATHER.

Thanks for sharing this video! It made me think of one of our family stories. This past Memorial Day weekend, Matthew got to come to SC to spend the weekend with us. Lexi did not let go of him all weekend and smiled the whole time because he was here. The Tuesday after Memorail Day, Matthew was goone but Lexi didn't realize it. When I pulle dher out of her pack and play, she looked over at our bed and smiled a huge smile across her whole face and waved to the empty bed. I know she thought she was going to get to see her daddy. Before she could realize that he was missing I got her distracted with a toy and songs. This mother's hear tbroke, but it also glowed. How special is the father and child bond!?!?!

Yeah, I won! That is exciting! Thank you.
