It is GOD who BLESSES and TRANSFORMS...

This is a blog for women (not just moms) who:

(1) Desire to be transformed by JESUS' LOVE, HOLINESS, AND GRACE;

(2) Believe that GOD'S WORD is the true Spirit food for HIS HOLY SPIRIT who lives within us;

(3) Submit to GOD and walk this journey of life with HIM transforming us more and more into HIS likeness.

It's a blog about the POWER OF TRANSFORMED LIVES. Let's begin with yours and mine and pass it on... 1 + 1 + 1...

Since GOD's HOLY SPIRIT lives inside a christian, let's choose to be nurtured and transformed by feasting daily on HOLY SPIRIT food - GOD's WORD - The Holy Bible..

My regular posts stopped in 2013, with a major move and the chronic illness and eventual death of our oldest daughter. Yes, we grieve daily, yet I am determined to continue to let the LIGHT of my LORD and SAVIOR shine through me. I have tried to start posting again, over the last few years, but have not been consistent. So, I think the biggest blessing for you and me both will be to intersperse some new posts while revisiting some of the former posts. Let's begin with "Oh, the JOY!" as we head into living through Fall 2019; meeting back here 1-2 days a week.

If you need daily encouragement, you will find plenty by clicky on past posts. When reading earlier posts, you will see that I often posted daily, following this format: ...Sunday in the SON, Meditation Monday, GratiTuesday, Women in the WORD Wednesday, Transforming Thursday, Family Fellowship Friday, Ketchup & Mustard Saturday.

There's a whole lot here! Take your time to browse.

Please come back and visit each week. Welcome!

Because of JESUS, we can be family,

Patti

TRANSFORMED MOMS:MOMS TRANSFORMED

Romans 12:1-2 "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

HE'S EVERYTHING TO ME...SO I'LL DO EVERYTHING FOR HIM....

There are two scriptures in Colossians 3 that I have referred to several times on this blog, yet never used them on our Women in the WORD Wednesday. They go well with our theme for this week:

Verse 17 says,

" And whatever you do in word or deed,

do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,

giving thanks through Him to God the Father."

.

Then, a few verses later, 23 and 24 say,

"Whatever you do,

do your work heartily,

as for the Lord rather than for men;

knowing that from the Lord

you will receive the reward of the inheritance.

It is the Lord Christ whom you serve."

.

I thought of these scriptures today because of conversations I've had over the last year with our son, Caleb, about our family contract that had these verses on it. It hung in or by the kitchen for years. Caleb said these words several months ago to me, "You instilled in us to always try to do the right thing even when it seemed too hard... ..like the contract in our hallway that we all signed that said we would obey without complaining or arguing even if it seemed too hard."

.

As each of us realize, as we journey into and through adulthood, life can be hard! Caleb turns 24 today! Happy Birthday, son! I believe that you understand these scriptures and that you realize that even though "Life is Hard, God is Good"! We are so thankful for you, your spirit, and your perseverance in this life journey. Always remember that GIGATTAATTGIG...remember these verses in Colossians that serve as a reminder...and remember the words to this week's theme song: HE IS EVERYTHING TO ME!

.

Here is Caleb in his "senior picture":

Here Caleb is blowing out his candles on his 21st birthday!

.
Caleb, we'll miss you today, on your 24th birthday! Although we are miles apart, there is ONE who is with you and Krista and is with the rest of your family wherever we are. It was a blessing to think of you today, to talk to you at 12:04 a.m., and then have these scriptures come to mind:
.

" And whatever you do in word or deed,
do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,
giving thanks through Him to God the Father....
... Whatever you do,
do your work heartily,
as for the Lord rather than for men;
knowing that from the Lord
you will receive the reward of the inheritance.
It is the Lord Christ whom you serve."
