I don't know why I love to learn so much... but I do!!! I am a "life long learner"! There's always a stack of books at my headboard and I have several going at once. I make every effort to spend daily time in the WORD of GOD, too. This semester finds me reading several textbooks that I have not read before, trying to stay one day ahead of my students. Of course, I love to share what I learn, but our daughter Jessica calls it TMI (Too Much Information!)
.
I am conscious that I sometimes talk too much. I'll work real hard at not coming across as a "know-it-all" and then I blow it. I did again yesterday!
.
Our author says, "How do you let go of that know-it-all tongue? You can start by letting someone share information with you that you already know - without letting her know that you know it. This can be great training in humility and emotional maturity."
.
As we begin a new week, I've changed the theme song to OPEN THE EYES OF MY HEART, LORD. Lord, help me to see what it is that you want me to say before I say it. It starts with being humble... poor in spirit... being prudent in speech...

Lyrics to OPEN THE EYES OF MY HEART, LORD
by Phillips, Craig, and Dean
.
Open the eyes of my heart, Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see You
I want to see You
Open the eyes of my heart, Lord
Open the eyes of my heart
I want to see You
I want to see You
To see You high and lifted up
Shining in the light of Your glory
Pour out Your power and love
As we sing holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
Holy, holy, holy
We want to see You
(I want to see You)
