It is GOD who BLESSES and TRANSFORMS...

This is a blog for women who:

(1) Desire to be transformed by JESUS' LOVE, HOLINESS, AND GRACE; (2) Believe that GOD'S WORD is the true Spirit food for HIS HOLY SPIRIT who lives within us; (3) Submit to GOD and walk this journey of life with HIM transforming us more and more into HIS likeness.

It's a blog about the POWER OF TRANSFORMED LIVES. Let's begin with yours and mine and pass it on... 1 + 1 + 1...

Since God's Holy Spirit lives inside a christian, let's choose to be nurtured and transformed by feasting daily on Holy Spirit food - God's Word - The Holy Bible..

Once in a while I take a hiatus from writing, but I have begun again on Easter Sunday 2013. Usually, there will be multiple blog postings each week. You are invited to use it as part of your daily quiet time. Topics may run for several months at a time. The current topic is posted over on the right side bar. Each week, I will try to connect to a song or two that goes with our current topic.

Each day of the week follows a special format: Sunday in the Son; Meditation Monday; GratiTuesday; Women in the Word Wednesday; Transforming Thursday; Family Fellowship Friday; and, Ketchup and Mustard Saturday.

There's a whole lot here! Take your time to browse. Please come back and visit often. Welcome!

Because of Jesus, we can be family,

Patti

TRANSFORMED MOMS:MOMS TRANSFORMED

Romans 12:1-2 "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

GOD IS GOOD... THROUGH TRANSFORMED MOM ANDREA AND HER FAMILY...

.

What an interesting person my friend Andrea is! What an amazing life she leads. Her love for God, family, and friends is evident. Her dry humor and balance of love, laughter, and logic are infectious.
. .
Andrea's husband, Chuck is equally fascinating. Chuck is a strong and burly looking man who is here, in this picture, with their 4 sons after an exhausting day at Disney World.
. .
A spiritual giant, Chuck is a tugboat captain with many adventures to tell about. Last week, Andrea described Chuck in this way, "He might be a man of the sea, but His heart belongs first to God and then to me."
.
Since meeting this family just 3 years ago, I have been intrigued by how they serve and reflect the goodness of God in the midst of very busy and often chaotic schedules. Whether at school and the multiple sports/activities the boys are involved in, Andrea has kept the active home fires spinning, finished her college degree, taught in the public schools, and been very involved in church family activities.
.
Chuck's tug was there in NYC when the plane landed in the Hudson River. Chuck's tug was there in NYC to tow the Willis Avenue Bridge to it's new home. (Note Statue of Liberty in the background of picture).

.
Have you heard of a big oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico? Chuck's tug has been there! He's been helping with the clean-up. Of course, that has not kept him from working at Bible Camp, coming to men's prayer group, helping with the teens (he was in one of the pics I posted on Tuesday), and remaining in much fellowship with God's family. Steve and I even had the blessing of going out to eat recently with Chuck, Andrea, and their two youngest.
.
One thing I know is that when a Mommy and Daddy are putting God first, life can still be hard, but GIGATTAATTGIG.

Thank you Patti for allowing me to see "us" through others eyes. Ones perspective of their own life is very different than what others see. Thank you for blessing us!! You brought tears to my eyes, and renewed thankfulness in my heart because I am an HEIR to the King. GIG

Patti,

Everyone who have the privilege to have the Olley family in their lives is changed for the better. God has blessed our families for over 17 years of growing, learning, sharing, laughing, crying, mentoring, praying (and the list could go on and on) with this special Christian Family.

Thanks for "spotlighting" this great Christian Family. Thank youf allowing others to witness and be made better for knowing them.
