MEDITATION MONDAY

As Jesus was being crucified on the cross, the Bible records seven statements that He made. These were statements full of emotion, love, mercy, and grace. As He hung there on the cross, I can only think that it was sheer torture. In order for Him to make these statements, He would have had to push up on his nailed feet to talk. His diaphragm and lungs were then able to do the work to expell the breath needed to speak. How excruciating! It took enormous effort.

As we meditate on these statements today, consider that this was not just how Christ died but how He lived His life. His chose to let His FAITH TAKE CONTROL OF HIS FEELINGS!
- When He was wounded by others, He admitted His need and knew Who to turn to.
- No matter His circumstances, He turned around and served others through "wounded healing".
- No matter His circumstances, He was victorious.

TWO WOUNDED STATEMENTS:
- My God, my God why has thou forsaken me?
- I thirst!
THREE WOUNDED HEALING STATEMENTS:
- Father forgive them for they know not what they do.
- Today you will be with me in paradise.
- Woman behold your son... son behold your mother.
TWO VICTORY STATEMENTS:
- It is finished!
- Into they hands I commit my spirit.

CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST?
- Let your FAITH take charge of your FEELINGS!
