I am so thankful for THE HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH of past and present! I love the heritage I have in the LORD. Even if my parents had not been christians, I have a legacy in the stories God has given us in the Bible. I am encouraged when I read the story in Acts 16, when Paul and Silas had been put in jail, but in spite of their circumstances they chose to pray and sing! Toward the end of that story, it says that Paul and Silas replied to the jailers comments / questions with the WORD OF THE LORD:
31 "They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus,
- FAITH (belief that Jesus is the only way one can be saved)
- FAMILY (individual families)
- FRIENDS (for this purpose, the friends each of us has within the family of God)
.
I am truly blessed with a loving, transparent, hospitable, teaching HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH who include my physical family and my spiritual family. This past week I was repeatedly grateful for them, as l contemplated the blessing of having FAITH, FAMILY, AND FRIENDS here in South Jersey...
- We celebrated with the Teens In Mission Experience as they shared with us about their mission trip.
- We welcomed Brandon and Kylee into the family of believers!
- Two large groups were hosted by elder Tom and Melva for fellowship and devotion at their lake home.
- We celebrated Regina and Caleb's upcoming marriage and commitment to build a HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH.
- We heard stories and saw pictures of our France missionaries and mission team.
- Last night, our family spent the evening at the home of another family of believers...
- We keep connected by phone, email, Facebook, and in person...
