It is GOD who BLESSES and TRANSFORMS...
This is a blog for women (not just moms) who:
(1) Desire to be transformed by JESUS' LOVE, HOLINESS, AND GRACE;
(2) Believe that GOD'S WORD is the true Spirit food for HIS HOLY SPIRIT who lives within us;
(3) Submit to GOD and walk this journey of life with HIM transforming us more and more into HIS likeness.
It's a blog about the POWER OF TRANSFORMED LIVES. Let's begin with yours and mine and pass it on... 1 + 1 + 1...
Since GOD's HOLY SPIRIT lives inside a christian, let's choose to be nurtured and transformed by feasting daily on HOLY SPIRIT food - GOD's WORD - The Holy Bible..
My regular posts stopped in 2013, with a major move and the chronic illness and eventual death of our oldest daughter. Yes, we grieve daily, yet I am determined to continue to let the LIGHT of my LORD and SAVIOR shine through me. I have tried to start posting again, over the last few years, but have not been consistent. So, I think the biggest blessing for you and me both will be to intersperse some new posts while revisiting some of the former posts. Let's begin with "Oh, the JOY!" as we head into living through Fall 2019; meeting back here 1-2 days a week.
If you need daily encouragement, you will find plenty by clicky on past posts. When reading earlier posts, you will see that I often posted daily, following this format: ...Sunday in the SON, Meditation Monday, GratiTuesday, Women in the WORD Wednesday, Transforming Thursday, Family Fellowship Friday, Ketchup & Mustard Saturday.
There's a whole lot here! Take your time to browse.
Please come back and visit each week. Welcome!
Because of JESUS, we can be family,
Patti

HE IS EXALTED...BECAUSE HE'S THE TRANSFORMING POWER SOURCE...
TRANSFORMING
THURSDAY
.
Recently, we've been having some power problems in our home. Electrical power surges have become part of an almost daily routine for us. This week a brother in Christ did some work on our air conditioning system and the surges have been reduced greatly.
.
Last year we had surges of a different kind. Our internet was going on and off often. Comcast told us that part of the problem was that our house was the last house on the line. In other words, we are the farthest from the main power source. They did some work on our connections from the street and our service became less interrupted.
.
What would you do if you were sitting near a lamp reading a book and a little child kept pulling the lamp plug out of the socket and putting it back in again....over and over and over again? I have a feeling that it wouldn't take too many seconds for you to tell him/her to quit it, straighten up, or leave. It would be highly irritating to you if it continued happening. Besides that, playing with an electrical socket loaded with power is a dangerous thing for a child.
.
Maybe you're blow drying your hair and and the child thinks that it would be funny to unplug your blow dryer. What happened? Who took you away from your power source? If the plug continues to be pulled out and plugged back in, I don't think you could take it for too long before saying enough is enough.
.
Electrical power gets the job done when the appliance stays plugged into the power source. It's the same way in the spiritual world. Not plugged into Jesus? On again? Off again? You become an irritant to those around you! The power source is not meeting needs. Besides, when you play around with power, it's like playing with fire... it's dangerous.
.
We've spent part of the last two weeks looking at the verse in Proverbs 31 that says, "...a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised." It does not say, "... a woman who fears the LORD today and takes tomorrow off shall be praised...". It's about a consistent power coming from the power source and some "work" by the receiver of the power source to stay plugged in.
.
Yesterday, we looked at a series of verses from Psalms on the topic of "fearing the Lord." Join me today in looking at how they can become transforming, if we stay plugged into "fearing the Lord".
