WOMEN IN THE WORD WEDNESDAY
- First, we sang, I'M JUST A SINNER SAVED BY GRACE, as we were encouraged to STAND FIRM in that grace. We learned that our Heavenly Father wants us to be protected from the evil one, so He has extended us His FULL ARMOR to wear. "Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to STAND your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. STAND FIRM..."
- Then, we sang, IN CHRIST ALONE: the TRUTH and nothing but the TRUTH... OUR ONE AND ONLY RIGHTEOUSNESS.... THE GOSPEL/GOOD NEWS... the PRINCE OF PEACE... Our scripture began to explain the pieces of HIS ARMOR that we must put on: "...with the BELT OF TRUTH buckled around your waist, with the BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS in place, and with your FEET FITTED WITH THE READINESS that comes from THE GOSPEL OF PEACE."
- Now, we are focusing on FAITH, SALVATION, and the WORD OF GOD as all parts of GOD'S ARMOR. This week's scripture focus is: "In addition to all this, take up the SHIELD OF FAITH, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the HELMET OF SALVATION and the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT, which is the word of God."

Let's read and re-read verses 13 to 17:
Ephesians 6:13-17
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God,
so that when the day of evil comes,
you may be able to stand your ground,
and after you have done everything, to stand.
14 Stand firm then,
. ...with the belt of truth buckled around your waist,
with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness
that comes from the gospel of peace. .
16 In addition to all this,
take up the shield of faith,
with which you can extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation and
the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
