As I pondered on the things Steve talked about on Sunday and meditated on them yesterday in my "Meditation Monday" post, my mind went to Acts 2:38-42 and I thought of how thankful I am that the "first century family of God" is seen again in God's church family here in Souh Jersey. I'm so thankful that I have the pictures from the last week to show some of the ways that we live out these verses.

.- Rashad realizes his need for forgiveness and cleansing for his sins. Kareem prepares to baptize Rashad.

.
- Acts 2 says, "Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off-for all whom the Lord our God will call."
 .
- Rashad's family and extended christian family rejoice!
- 40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

I am so thankful for the group of believers who study, pray, and fellowship together. It's about walking the walk of Christ and encouraging each other to do so! Here is just that happening with the elders / preachers and their wives this past week!
