Earlier this week I shared with you about looking at God through "Gospel Glasses". When I look at these glasses I also think of "teacher". My eyes are tired! I've been up all night. This is finals week. I meet with 3 classes for the final time today as "their teacher". I have poured myself into these classes, yet I'm already looking at how I can do it different next semester so that my students will learn a little more... a little better... Why? Because as I've been up tonight grading papers, I see that there are things that my students have not totally grasped. It makes me sad. I am certainly not the perfect teacher!
.
The Holy Spirit is the perfect teacher! He teaches through the Word... both the written Word (The Bible) and THE WORD "that became flesh and dwelt among us" (JESUS CHRIST). Are you letting God's Spirit teach you? You have the perfect teacher at your disposal! He's waiting! He longs to teach you! Jesus told the apostles this:
.
"Luke 12:11-12
"When you are brought before synagogues,
rulers and authorities,
do not worry about how you will
defend yourselves or what you will say,
12 for the Holy Spirit will teach
you at that time what you should say."
.
I want to be immersed in THE WORD so much that I can allow the Holy Spirit to teach me like Timothy was taught, so that I might be...
.
"...ready in season and out of season;
reprove,
rebuke,
exhort,
with great patience and instruction."
.
