It is GOD who BLESSES and TRANSFORMS...
This is a blog for women (not just moms) who:
(1) Desire to be transformed by JESUS' LOVE, HOLINESS, AND GRACE;
(2) Believe that GOD'S WORD is the true Spirit food for HIS HOLY SPIRIT who lives within us;
(3) Submit to GOD and walk this journey of life with HIM transforming us more and more into HIS likeness.
It's a blog about the POWER OF TRANSFORMED LIVES. Let's begin with yours and mine and pass it on... 1 + 1 + 1...
Since GOD's HOLY SPIRIT lives inside a christian, let's choose to be nurtured and transformed by feasting daily on HOLY SPIRIT food - GOD's WORD - The Holy Bible..
My regular posts stopped in 2013, with a major move and the chronic illness and eventual death of our oldest daughter. Yes, we grieve daily, yet I am determined to continue to let the LIGHT of my LORD and SAVIOR shine through me. I have tried to start posting again, over the last few years, but have not been consistent. So, I think the biggest blessing for you and me both will be to intersperse some new posts while revisiting some of the former posts. Let's begin with "Oh, the JOY!" as we head into living through Fall 2019; meeting back here 1-2 days a week.
If you need daily encouragement, you will find plenty by clicky on past posts. When reading earlier posts, you will see that I often posted daily, following this format: ...Sunday in the SON, Meditation Monday, GratiTuesday, Women in the WORD Wednesday, Transforming Thursday, Family Fellowship Friday, Ketchup & Mustard Saturday.
There's a whole lot here! Take your time to browse.
Please come back and visit each week. Welcome!
Because of JESUS, we can be family,
Patti
GOD STILL MOVES - CANCER CANNOT STOP US FROM FREEDOM IN CHRIST
.
He was full of the Holy Spirit: patient, joyful, kind and good... peace loving, gentle and self controlled... full of faith and love. I am thankful for the life of Scott McEndree who went to his eternal home on October 22. What a void will be left for Bonita and their 4 little ones! I am thankful for Bonita Barnacle McEndree who possesses that same Holy Spirit of God who will remain here to bless us through her.
.
Last week, I shared with you a link to a post that my husband Steve wrote after finding out about Scott. Here is Steve's addendum:
.
I believe Scott would want us to take away a couple of things:
.
1. Praise God -- even in the storm
.
2. God is good -- no matter what happens; no matter our feelings -- CHOOSE FAITH!
.
I'd like to add a couple of thoughts:
.
- Scott and Bonita's faithful examples have answered many prayers and brought about much healing! Wherever they went for cancer treatments they came in contact with struggling faiths, fragile marriages, exasperated parents... Their examples of continuing to look to God and keep their eyes on Jesus in the most difficult of circumstances has forever impacted (I'm convinced!) marriages and famiies and individuals across this nation for good! (Wherever Scott and Bonita lived or traveled, they left behind huge spiritual doses of goodness and mercy: "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow them all the days of their lives...")
- Personally, their trust in a loving God, no matter the outcome has brought about more strength and resilence of faith in me. If Scott and Bonita can trust God through years of overwhelming trials, growing even more as vessels of His mercy and grace while remaining open to the leading of God's Spirit -- I definitely can! Praise God!
- Go, God, through us -- for YOUR glory!
- GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME AND ALL THE TIME GOD IS GOOD!
Steve

WHAT CANCER CANNOT DO
.
It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill friendships
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirit
Cancer is so limited

We’ve all read about the heroes
Odysseus, Ulysses, Alexander,
Epic struggles against great odds
Some fact intertwined with legend
Glossed over by time
Polished in the retelling
.
Though it may not be written
In the annals of history
On the parchment of our hearts etched
With ink drawn from eternal wells
Is this never ending love story
.
No fiction, all fact
No myth but legend still
The story of an energetic son,
An adored brother
An enthusiastic counselor
A devoted husband
An exemplary father
A patient fisherman
An industrious employee
A church leader
With wisdom beyond his years
The heart of a warrior
The passion of a Ringbearer
The reflection of the Son
.
Across the pine pews
In a lakeside lodge
His sonorous baritone
Often resonated
Lately grown weak
Though with smile undimmed
Now joins if not leads
The voices of the throngs
Before the throne
Singing with unfettered hearts
And unimpaired throats
.
The rest of us
With voices inhibited
Not by cancerous growth
But by an imposing lump
Blend our voices in praise
To the One
Welcoming the Ranger
The God
Whose ledgers
Display today
And for eternity
The details of an epic
Legendary battle
Completely won

Thank you, Dennie!
