KETCHUP AND MUSTARD SATURDAY
Catch Up and Must Do

The church office crew usually makes a big deal out of birthdays. Dan and Katherine have been gone to Israel. Dottie was in North Carolina. Steve was at family camp. None of them were here for Steve's birthday! So, this past Thursday was when they chose to celebrate. Steve's favorite food is mexican. Don Pablo's is Steve's 3rd most favorite mexican food place, but his top favorite in the area.
.
I think one of the reasons they make a big deal is because they like "to give honor to who honor is due." - a great group of encouragers. It was their turn to honor Steve. I was able to stop by between supervision visits at two different schools to eat a quick 30 minute lunch.
.
Steve and I are opposites in a lot of ways. You know... a lot like ketchup and mustard! Yet, in 3 ways we are similar: We both love the LORD! We both love others! We both love mexican food!

Steve happens to be in Virginia right now at our nephew's wedding. His birthday cards were laying on the seat in my car. As I read through them, I thought how thankful I am to be married to a "transformed dad". It makes transformation easier when two people are walking that road together!
.
The second greatest command is to love your neighbor as yourself. Our church family tries to do that... I hear it often, "We are a church known for our love!"
.
I chose parts of three of the cards to share here. I covered up the names of those who gave them.

I'm thankful when others choose to agape love and bless my husband! It blesses me! When we let God love others through us, the agape way, it's another way that shows how God never lets go!

Oh, and by the way, Steve's other two favorite mexican food places are:.
