It is GOD who BLESSES and TRANSFORMS...
This is a blog for women who:
(1) Desire to be transformed by JESUS' LOVE, HOLINESS, AND GRACE;
(2) Believe that GOD'S WORD is the true Spirit food for HIS HOLY SPIRIT who lives within us;
(3) Submit to GOD and walk this journey of life with HIM transforming us more and more into HIS likeness.
It's a blog about the POWER OF TRANSFORMED LIVES:
Let's begin with yours and mine and pass it on... 1 + 1 + 1...
Since God's Holy Spirit lives inside a christian, let's choose to be nurtured and transformed by feasting daily on Holy Spirit food - God's Word - The Holy Bible..
There is usually a new post each day. You are invited to use it as part of your daily quiet time. Topics may run for several months at a time. The current topic is posted over on the right side bar. Each week, we have a theme song or songs which are the first on the playlist. The theme song hooks to our topic of discussion. When watching a video clip, you'll need to pause the Playlist.
Each day of the week follows a special format: Sunday in the Son; Meditation Monday; GratiTuesday; Women in the Word Wednesday; Transforming Thursday; Family Fellowship Friday; and, Ketchup and Mustard Saturday.
There's a whole lot here! Take your time to browse. Please come back and visit often. Welcome!
Because of Jesus, we can be family,
Patti
THEME VERSES: JANUARY THRU MARCH 2012
MATTHEW 22:34-40:
The Greatest Commandment = J.O.Y.
34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied:
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul
and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
TAKEN BY LOVE... TRANSFORMING THURSDAY...
I begin each semester by sharing with my classes, at the university, that they are beginning the semester as a caterpillar and are on their way to becoming butterflies. The struggle can be difficult. Many butterflies take longer than others in their transformation process. I have heard butterfly experts share that "rushing the process" can be detrimental to the final outcome. Also, that often the greater the struggle, the more beautiful the butterfly at the end.
For humans, it works much the same way, but it's a beautiful thing when the whole process is bathed in LOVE. In a christian family and in the church family, our goal is to grow up in the love of Christ or be "taken by the love of Christ".
I love this scripture, Ephesians 4, that describes how this transformation happens:
11 So Christ Himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to EQUIP HIS PEOPLE for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
14 Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. 15 Instead, SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE, WE WILL GROW to become in every respect the mature body of Him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up IN LOVE, as each part does its work.
~LOVE JESUS~
~Oh, the J.O.Y.~
