It is GOD who BLESSES and TRANSFORMS...

This is a blog for women (not just moms) who:

(1) Desire to be transformed by JESUS' LOVE, HOLINESS, AND GRACE;

(2) Believe that GOD'S WORD is the true Spirit food for HIS HOLY SPIRIT who lives within us;

(3) Submit to GOD and walk this journey of life with HIM transforming us more and more into HIS likeness.

It's a blog about the POWER OF TRANSFORMED LIVES. Let's begin with yours and mine and pass it on... 1 + 1 + 1...

Since GOD's HOLY SPIRIT lives inside a christian, let's choose to be nurtured and transformed by feasting daily on HOLY SPIRIT food - GOD's WORD - The Holy Bible..

My regular posts stopped in 2013, with a major move and the chronic illness and eventual death of our oldest daughter. Yes, we grieve daily, yet I am determined to continue to let the LIGHT of my LORD and SAVIOR shine through me. I have tried to start posting again, over the last few years, but have not been consistent. So, I think the biggest blessing for you and me both will be to intersperse some new posts while revisiting some of the former posts. Let's begin with "Oh, the JOY!" as we head into living through Fall 2019; meeting back here 1-2 days a week.

If you need daily encouragement, you will find plenty by clicky on past posts. When reading earlier posts, you will see that I often posted daily, following this format: ...Sunday in the SON, Meditation Monday, GratiTuesday, Women in the WORD Wednesday, Transforming Thursday, Family Fellowship Friday, Ketchup & Mustard Saturday.

There's a whole lot here! Take your time to browse.

Please come back and visit each week. Welcome!

Because of JESUS, we can be family,

Patti

TRANSFORMED MOMS:MOMS TRANSFORMED

Romans 12:1-2 "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

ALL THE WAY MY SAVIOR LEADS ME...

SUNDAY IN THE SON

ALL THE WAY MY SAVIOR LEADS ME
Written by: Franny Crosby
.

All the way my Savior leads me,
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who through life has been my Guide?
Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,
Here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well;
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well.
.
All the way my Savior leads me,
Cheers each winding path I tread,
Gives me grace for every trial,
Feeds me with the Living Bread.
Though my weary steps may falter
And my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see;
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! A spring of joy I see.
.
All the way my Savior leads me,
Oh, the fullness of His love!
Perfect rest to me is promised
In my Father’s house above.
When my spirit, clothed immortal,
Wings its flight to realms of day
This my song through endless ages:
Jesus led me all the way;
This my song through endless ages:
Jesus led me all the way.

Lyrics to All The Way My Savior Leads Me :

As sung by Chris Tomlin

All the way my Savior leads me
Who have I to ask beside
How could I doubt His tender mercy
Who through life has been my guide

All the way my Savior leads me
Cheers each winding path I tread
Gives me grace for every trial
Feeds me with the living Bread

You lead me and keep me from falling
You carry me close to Your heart
And surely Your goodness and mercy will follow me

All the way my Savior leads me
O, the fullness of His love
O, the sureness of His promise
In the triumph of His blood
And when my spirit clothed immortal
Wings its flight to realms of day
This my song through endless ages
Jesus led me all the way
Jesus led me all the way

All the way my Savior leads me
All the way my Savior leads me

All the way my Savior leads me
Who have I to ask beside
How could I doubt His tender mercy
Who through life has been my guide

All the way my Savior leads me
Cheers each winding path I tread
Gives me grace for every trial
Feeds me with the living Bread

You lead me and keep me from falling
You carry me close to Your heart
And surely Your goodness and mercy will follow me

All the way my Savior leads me
O, the fullness of His love
O, the sureness of His promise
In the triumph of His blood
And when my spirit clothed immortal
Wings its flight to realms of day
This my song through endless ages
Jesus led me all the way
Jesus led me all the way

All the way my Savior leads me
All the way my Savior leads me

TURN MY HEART, OH LORD.... I'LL LET YOU BE GOD...

This past week, we have had our little 8 month old grandson in our home. I've thought a lot about verse 50 of our scripture memory, "His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation."
.
In this verse, the word "fear" may be missed in translation if we have a negative connection to that word.
.
This type of "fear" in scripture means "a healthy repect or reverence for..." When standing at the foot of a giant waterfall, I experience it with my senses. Hopefully, I am not frightened enough to run the other way, but do need a healthy enough respect for what it is and what it can do that I don't jump into it. Instead I choose to take it all in:
  • SIGHT: I see the beauty, grandeur, and majesty of water rushing from above... over and down the cliff....

  • HEARING: I hear the power of the rushing water: loud, strong, constant...

  • TOUCH: I walk downstream and cup my hand in the cool rushing waters.

  • TASTE: I taste the water in my hand - refreshing water that has just cascaded over those rocks.

  • SMELL: I breathe deeply as I take in the freshness of the clean air that has been purified by the water.
.
Do I reverently take God in with all my senses? Do I know my place? Am I too proud to let God be God? Am I passing on a healthy understanding of my God to the next generation and the next generation? Mary's words give us an insight that she was able to do just that: Humbly Let God be God! She knew that she was just His instrument. Therefore, He could use her to help change the world.
.
.
MEMORY VERSES FOR THE MONTH:
.
Luke 1:46-51
.
  • 46 And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the LORD

  • 47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,

  • 48 for He has been mindful of the humble state of His servant.

  • From now on all generations will call me BLESSED,

  • 49 for the Mighty One has done great things for me-

  • HOLY is His name.

  • 50 His mercy extends to those who fear Him,

  • from generation to generation. .

  • 51 He has performed mighty deeds with His arm;

  • He has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.

.

Dear LORD,

Today, we humble ourselves. We put you in the driver's seat of our lives. You are not our co-pilot, You are the pilot! We want to be meek... not fearful.... not weak.... just meek... We give you the reins of our lives...

TURN MY HEART, OH LORD... TO A HEART OF THANKSGIVING....

.
Turn my heart, oh LORD, to awareness for what You have done, what you are doing, and what you will do through this little guy. My heart overflows with thanksgiving. It's been such a blessing to have P.L.S. and his daddy and mommy with us for the past week. He's sitting here on a couch in our den pondering my Granny's "God Bless You Real Good afghan". (More pictures to come, later in the week.)

TURN MY HEART, OH LORD... TO ALWAYS CHOOSE YOU...

MEDITATION MONDAY
.
Yesterday morning, at our chuch family's services, it was announced that we will begin moving into our new building this week. In many ways, we are experiencing a new beginning. Steve spent time talking about that with us yesterday. He took us to the book of Joshua and challenged us with Joshua's words. Joshua had basically told the Israelites that going into the Promised Land was not going to work. They had to be single focused on THE GOD OF ISRAEL. They had other gods that they had to get rid of. Steve said the same thing to us.
  • We must allow God to be our everything in heart, mind, body, soul, and strength.
  • We must rid ourselves of other gods and have a single God focus.
  • We must choose!
Then, he asked me to come up and stand beside him. As we stood there, he told the congregation:
"Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...
But as for me and my household,
we will serve the LORD."
Joshua 24:15
.

Families throughout the high school auditorium began to stand. Each one repeated the same words, as they stood. When the congregation, in families, stood united, we repeated the words together. It was a time to commit and TURN OUR WHOLE HEARTS TO GOD.

.

Happy Valentine's Day, Jesus!

"'Love the Lord your God
with all your heart
and with all your soul
and with all your mind.'
This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it:
'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

LAY YOUR BURDENS DOWN... IT'S A MUST ON THE WAY TO BEING BLESSED...

KETCHUP AND MUSTARD SATURDAY
Catch Up and Must Do
.
Just briefly, let's review before going on next week to the next Beatitude:
  • My life is not about me... Life is about God and His kingdom!
  • In view of the holiness of God, I see my sinfulness and I grieve, ask for forgiveness, and repent...laying my burdens down at His feet.

Jesus says it best:

  • Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
  • Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

LAY DOWN THE BURDEN OF YOUR HEART... FOR YOUR SISTERS...

Our sister-in-Christ, Dottie, is a listener. She is a person who seems to have a pulse on many people in our church family. She understands mourning. She is a burden bearer. She lives out the first 10 verses of Galatians 6:
.
"Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin,
you who are spiritual should restore him gently....
... Carry each other's burdens,
and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ...
,.. for each one should carry his own load...
... the one who sows to please the Spirit,
from the Spirit will reap eternal life.
Let us not become weary in doing good,
for at the proper time we will
reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Therefore, as we have opportunity,
let us do good to all people,
especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
.
Dottie plans, organizes, and leads our Secret Sister ministry. Of course, Dottie does a myriad of other things to serve and bless her church family, but the Secret Sister ministry is huge to her. Her desire is that we truly study each other and go about meeting the needs of the woman's name that is drawn. Each year she makes an afghan for her own secret sister. Everyone wants Dottie to draw her name.
.
Last Saturday, our Secret Sister revealing party was at Jackie's house. We had a surprise for Dottie. Everyone who Dottie had ever made an afghan for brought hers to show. Amazing!

Then, there was more! Melva announced that it was time that Dottie received something made just for her. Open it Dottie!

For Dottie, the bunny lover, Melva and Tammy had pieced together and quilted this amazing bunny quilt.

.

Our church family knows how to bear each others burdens and to encourage one another. On Saturday, we had some serious Family Fellowship!!!
