It is GOD who BLESSES and TRANSFORMS...

This is a blog for women (not just moms) who:

(1) Desire to be transformed by JESUS' LOVE, HOLINESS, AND GRACE;

(2) Believe that GOD'S WORD is the true Spirit food for HIS HOLY SPIRIT who lives within us;

(3) Submit to GOD and walk this journey of life with HIM transforming us more and more into HIS likeness.

It's a blog about the POWER OF TRANSFORMED LIVES. Let's begin with yours and mine and pass it on... 1 + 1 + 1...

Since GOD's HOLY SPIRIT lives inside a christian, let's choose to be nurtured and transformed by feasting daily on HOLY SPIRIT food - GOD's WORD - The Holy Bible..

My regular posts stopped in 2013, with a major move and the chronic illness and eventual death of our oldest daughter. Yes, we grieve daily, yet I am determined to continue to let the LIGHT of my LORD and SAVIOR shine through me. I have tried to start posting again, over the last few years, but have not been consistent. So, I think the biggest blessing for you and me both will be to intersperse some new posts while revisiting some of the former posts. Let's begin with "Oh, the JOY!" as we head into living through Fall 2019; meeting back here 1-2 days a week.

If you need daily encouragement, you will find plenty by clicky on past posts. When reading earlier posts, you will see that I often posted daily, following this format: ...Sunday in the SON, Meditation Monday, GratiTuesday, Women in the WORD Wednesday, Transforming Thursday, Family Fellowship Friday, Ketchup & Mustard Saturday.

There's a whole lot here! Take your time to browse.

Please come back and visit each week. Welcome!

Because of JESUS, we can be family,

Patti

TRANSFORMED MOMS:MOMS TRANSFORMED

Romans 12:1-2 "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

WE TRUST IN THE NAME OF THE LORD: FAITHFUL AND TRUE

Family Fellowship Friday
.
Faithful and True
.
Most families celebrate anniversaries and birthdays. We also celebrate the anniversary of our first date and half birthdays. I'll leave the discussion about half birthdays for another day because today is the anniversary of mine and Steve's first date - November 7, 1970.
.
In 1970, Steve and I were both freshman at York College. Most christian colleges have women's and men's social clubs instead of fraternities and sororities. I had just become a member of the Delta Chi Alpha social club and it was time for our fall banquet. Our fall banquet was an opportunity for each young woman to invite the young man whom she had had her eye on.
.
Stop with me and ponder these thoughts before I go on... Remember yesterday when, once again, I reiterated how different Steve and I tend to be? He's a Golden Retriever. I'm a Lion / Otter. His favorite color is brown. My favorite colors are red / purple .... maybe the rainbow! He's farm and I'm town. He's Wyoming. I'm Colorado (because it's more populated). He's reenergized with time spent in solace. I'm re-energized by a lively discussion with friends. He's an introvert. I'm an extrovert.
.
Now, back to 1970. I had no idea who I wanted to invite to my social club banquet. Yet, I had made friends with a group of guys who were on the college's basketball team. One Friday night, in the student center, they had an idea. They would "set me up" with a "really nice guy" who was on the team "who needed a life". O....kay!?!?
.
So, fairly late, one Friday night in October 1970, a group of very tall young men circled this 5 foot 9 inch college freshman girl and waited. You see, one of them had headed back to the dorm to get their shy, studious, introverted basketball playing friend who made it a habit of studying in his room on Friday nights. His name was Steve Sikes - a farm boy from Oklahoma.
.
Steve was willing to come this Friday night for the "team meeting" that was being held in the student center. As he approached the circle of his team members, the formation opened to show me standing in the middle. We stood face to face. All other tall dudes vacated. I began to speak...
.
My social club was having a banquet... I wasn't sure who I wanted to invite... His team had suggested him... It would be in a few weeks...
.
He couldn't! He'd made a promise to himself to not date for his four years in college so that he could focus on his studies and sports. He had made a decision not marry until he was at least 28. In fact, he had never even been on a date at the ripe age of 18. Well, now what was I to do? Oh, by the way, did I tell you that part of my personality is persistent - very persistent...not giving up without a fight...always looking for another option...
.
Steve was a little taken aback by the whole discussion, yet he was willing to walk with me. So, we walked outside the student center, down the steps and along the sidewalk toward McCloud Hall (my dorm). I'll never forget the words that finally came out of his introverted mouth. "Well...I guess we could call it a dinner engagement..." Bingo!
.
The rest is history:

  • during the weeks leading up to the dinner engagement, Steve's older brother Stacy came for a visit...Steve asked him to take me out to see if I would be okay for him to go with
  • Stacy took me out one night and I passed the test

  • Steve and I went out on our dinner engagement for two very opposite people at Nebraska's #1 restaurant: The Chances R in York, Nebraska on the evening of November 7, 1970

  • opposites attract

  • we dated off and on for three years
  • opposites attract and then very often attack

  • we broke it off at least eight times over those three years

  • we married in December 1973

  • we were married for over seven years before having children to try to work out a few of our opposite kinks here and there before bringing children onto the roller coaster ride

  • today is the 38th anniversary of our first date - so, LET'S CELEBRATE!!!

.

You ask, "why the post?"
.

  1. It's FAMILY FELLOWSHIP FRIDAY...and this date is one of our family celebrations: The Anniversary of Steve and Patti's first date!

  2. Love always trusts! Jesus is FAITHFUL AND TRUE! Christian marriages should be FAITHFUL AND TRUE ! We have been able to live this out, in spite of our differences. Like the words in FIREPROOF, the movie, by GOD's grace we have been able to live out "never leave your partner behind!"

  3. GOD has done amazing things to TRANSFORM two very different people into one! We praise Him!

  4. Our TESTIMONIES could be phrased this way:
  • Steve: "I was a shy introverted young man who stayed to myself. GOD has TRANSFORMED me into a preacher/teacher/counselor who loves people."
  • Patti: "I was an extroverted lion personality who liked to be where the action was. GOD has TRANSFORMED me into a shepherd/teacher who is content to sit one on one with people or at this computer and blog...think about that one - a lion who is a shepherd."]
  • Our Together Testimony: "We were two very different and selfish individuals. GOD has TRANSFORMED us into one couple who are best friends only second to our best friend, JESUS CHRIST."

.

CHURCH FAMILY FELLOWSHIP IDEA:

Cardboard testimonies! We have not done it yet at Pitman, but I hope we do soon. We have relatives and friends who are part of a church in Texas who did this recently. I found their video last night on the web. I sat here and wept. May you be encouraged!
.

.

.

Please leave a comment and share with us some fellowship idea for either home life or church life. Everyone reading this blog would treasure any new ideas from your experience or things that you have seen that you, too, want to try.

.

If you have not yet seen the movie FIREPROOF, I recommend that you go soon. It's TRANSFORMING!

WE TRUST IN THE NAME OF THE LORD: KING of kings and LORD of lords

TRANSFORMING THURSDAY

How GOD Does Family!

.

1. Transforming to really begin living as if GOD is in control...

.

...This election has tested our faith. Yet, it is in the testing, the struggle, that we are forged. It is in going through fire that we can come out purified. It is in the searching for the words to articulate to GOD that we are trusting HIM...

.

2. Transforming to be so in tune with GOD that He gives us the words to articulate our needs...

.

...This is what happened Tuesday night after I listened to Mr. Obama's victory speech and then could not go to sleep. GOD gave me a scripture that spoke to my needs of the moment:

.

Psalms 4:3-5 "The LORD hears when I call to Him. Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And trust in the LORD. "

.

And that is just what I did! Although, I tremble for the future of our world, I am happy that an African American has had the opportunity to become president of these United States. I must daily pray for him, his wisdom, and his family. I must daily live a righteous life in Jesus and trust in the LORD because He is in control.

.

Others told me that GOD COMFORTED them with His word and gave them HOPE for tomorrow...

.

Mandy, told me that as she lay in bed after the election results that she picked up her Bible and found two scriptures that she had highlighted on previous occassions. They ministered deeply to her. The second one was the one that we had talked about in ladies class on Tuesday morning:

.

2 Chronicles 16:9 "For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His."

.

3. Transforming from "a child of GOD" to "a child of GOD who is also His friend"...

.

...I've thought alot about this since this past Tuesday, when Beth Moore talked about Abraham and Moses being God's friends. We discussed that just like with our own children, it takes a different kind of relationship for children to move from "children" to "friends". What does scripture say about who His friends are?

.

Psalms 25:14 "The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant."

.

John 15:14 "You are My friends, if you do what I command you."

.

James 2:22-23 "And the scripture was fulfilled that says, 'Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,' and he was called God's friend."

.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails."

.

4. Transforming more and more into women who honor the differences in people...starting with family...

.

...Last night's class on How GOD Does Family instilled on me once again that He puts us on this planet in families where He wants us to "be all that we can be". As we looked again last night at yet another way to "honor the differences" within a family, we looked at how people have different ways of thinking. We talked about different theories of thinking and then because of time constraints looked at Sternberg's theory that divides thinking into three broad catagories:

.

C REATIVE: Try to solve new kinds of problems that require us to think about the problem and its elements in a new way (e.g., inventing, designing). Creative people ask many questions~ “Why? Why Not? What if…?”

.
A NALYTICAL: Try to solve familiar problems by using strategies that manipulate the elements of a problem or the relationships among the elements (e.g., comparing, analyzing). Analytical people take things from whole to parts to whole…saying things like, “Let’s make a list of the pros and cons.”

.
P RACTICAL: Try to solve problems that apply to what we know to everyday contexts (e.g., applying, using). Practical people often use words like “useful… need… where the rubber meets the road…”

.

5. Transforming into Spirit Led physical, intellectual, relational, and emotional people who give glory to GOD in all circumstances...

.

...the "hand" analogy, the poem, and our individual license plates were all culminating activities of our class that helped us to see the beauty in all of our diversity.

.

As I have shared previously, Steve and I are very different on many counts. Yet, it is through these differences that we have learned and are still learning to let GOD mold, shape, and transform us for His glory:

  • Physically, he's a Man...I'm a Woman.
  • Physically and Relationally, He's a Middle Child...I'm a First Child who was an Only Child for a good while.
  • Intellectually, he's ACP, yet strong in all...I'm CPA, yet strong in all
  • Relationally, he's a Golden Retriever...I'm a Lion / Otter...
  • Spiritually, God has given him gifts of teacher, shepherd, mercy shower...God has given me gifts of teacher, shepherd, exhorter...

.

May GOD be glorified! May He be KING of kings and LORD of lords in our world, our nation, and our homes.

WE TRUST IN THE NAME OF THE LORD OUR GOD...THE GREAT I AM, CREATOR OF THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH

THANK YOU TO OUR HEAVENLY FATHER,
THE GOD AND CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH...
THE GREAT I AM!

Today, big things are happening for us on our little part of Earth. Yet, I pray that we will let these few pictures and scriptures below help us keep things in perspective. I am so thankful that our "Heavenly Daddy" is in control!

The LORD is our Lawgiver,
The LORD is our King;
He will save us." (Savior of the World)

THE DARKEST REGIONS OF THE PHOTO ABOVE.

.
In spite of our size in the grand scheme of things, GOD says, that
  • He made us...
  • He gave us breath and spirit...
  • He has called us...
  • He will hold our hand...
  • He will watch over us...
  • He has given us a job to do...
  • He asks us to sing His praises...
    .

Isaiah 42:5-10

.

5 Thus says God the LORD,

Who created the heavens and stretched them out,

Who spread out the earth and its offspring,

Who gives breath to the people on it,

And spirit to those who walk in it,

6 "I am the LORD,

I have called you in righteousness,

I will also hold you by the hand and watch over you,

And I will appoint you as a covenant to the people,

As a light to the nations,

7 To open blind eyes,

To bring out prisoners from the dungeon,

And those who dwell in darkness from the prison.

8 "I am the LORD, that is My name;

I will not give My glory to another,

Nor My praise to graven images.

9 "Behold, the former things have come to pass,

Now I declare new things;

Before they spring forth I proclaim them to you."

10 Sing to the LORD a new song,

Sing His praise from the end of the earth!"

.

.

Isaiah 45:18-24

18 For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens
(He is the God who formed the earth and made it,
He established it and did not create it a waste place,
But formed it to be inhabited),
"I am the LORD, and there is none else...
...And there is no other God besides Me,
A righteous God and a Savior;
There is none except Me.
22 "Turn to Me, and be saved,
all the ends of the earth; For I am God,
and there is no other.
23 "I have sworn by Myself,
The word has gone forth
from My mouth in righteousness
And will not turn back,
That to Me every knee will bow,
every tongue will swear allegiance.
24 "They will say of Me,
'Only in the LORD are righteousness and strength.' "
.

.

Isaiah 33:22
.
"For the LORD is our Judge,
The LORD is our Lawgiver,
The LORD is our King;
He will save us." (Savior of the World)
.

.
Jeremiah 17:5

.
"Thus says the LORD,
'Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind
And makes flesh his strength,
And whose heart turns away from the LORD."
.

WE TRUST IN THE NAME OF THE LORD OUR GOD: A,F,I,J,K,L,N,P,R,S,T,W

MEDITATION MONDAY

Please join me as I meditate on my Sunday in the Son. You may have been with me, you may have not...it does not matter...let me share with you the richness of what yesterday brings to today! Sharing it with you makes me doubly blessed! If you were where I was yesterday, I invite you to share a comment about what struck you that we can all meditate on this week. If you were in another location with christians, please share something with us that we can meditate on.
.
Of course, since I knew that this week's blog theme was WE TRUST IN THE NAME OF THE LORD OUR GOD, I listened for connections...and there were many. So, I'd like to share with you about A. our Bible class and B. the sermon. Time does not permit me to share the richness of the communion talk by Mike or the wonderful lunch I had with Mary Lea and Debbie.
.
Below, in each instance, I was able to see the NAMES OF JESUS come to the forefront. As I share below, I will put those names in bold italics.

.

A. TREASURED IN MY HEART class for moms taught by Melva:
.
.

Melva shared with us 5 scriptures that have been very close to her heart as she has walked her christian walk as a wife and mother. As she shared them, I was able to see the NAME(S) OF JESUS come to the forefront of each scripture. See if you can connect my train of thought at choosing the Names that I connected with Melva's verses and the embolden words within the verses.
.
.
AUTHOR OF LIFE

Psalms 139:13-16
"For Thou didst form my inward parts;

Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb.
14 I will give thanks to Thee,
for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Thy works,
And my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from Thee,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth.
16 Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Thy book they were all written,
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them."
.
.
WISDOM OF GOD

Proverbs 31:26-31
"She opens her mouth in wisdom,
And the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
27 She looks well to the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and bless her;
Her husband also, and he praises her, saying:
29 "Many daughters have done nobly,
But you excel them all."
30 Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,
But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.
31 Give her the product of her hands,
And let her works praise her in the gates."
.
.
FAITHFUL AND TRUE

2 Timothy 1:3-5
"I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience the way my forefathers did, as I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day, 4 longing to see you, even as I recall your tears, so that I may be filled with joy. 5 For I am mindful of the sincere faith within you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice, and I am sure that it is in you as well."
.
.

WISDOM OF GOD

SAVIOR OF THE WORLD

FAITHFUL AND TRUE

TEACHER

RIGHTEOUS ONE

2 Timothy 3:14-17
"You, however, continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them; 15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."
.
NAZARENE

PRINCE OF PEACE

INDESCRIBABLE GIFT

WISDOM OF GOD

Luke 2:51-52
And He went down with them, and came to Nazareth; and He continued in subjection to them; and His mother treasured all these things in her heart.
52 And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men."

.
.
Melva, if you are reading this...THANK YOU! Your transparency has given many of us HOPE!

Each of the things that you shared were an encouragement to someone:
  • as a newlywed wife of a military man, you were without him for 16 months
  • it wasn't too long after Tom returned from overseas duty that you became pregnant
  • you could have "bought into" what a doctor had earlier said....that you would have trouble having children...you went on to have three sons...
  • many of your quotes about motherhood were wonderful...I could not write fast enough...but one that touched my heart for the part I got..."Before you were conceived, I loved you...Before you were an hour old, I would die for you."
  • another quote..."Motherhood never stops!"
    .

MELVA, WHAT HAPPENED ALONG THE WAY THAT COULD HAVE DISCOURAGED YOUR WALK WITH GOD?

  • rough pregnancies
  • having placenta previa and doctors only giving baby a 10% chance to live - but he did!
  • a 7 week pre-mature baby who had to be taught to suck, get feedings every two hours round the clock...
  • some strong willed little boys (like their Daddy)
  • a Daddy who was taken overseas again...to Thailand
  • moving to several different states in a short period of time
  • housing being sub-par...one included mouse infestation
  • moving to a place where there was no strong church (a mission field)
  • husband a new christian
  • husband's family not christians...strong personalities...led different types of lives
  • you were heard saying "Are we pitching our tents toward Sodom and Gomorrah?"
  • just when you found a church to settle in and grow with...you had to up and move to New Jersey because of Tom's business
  • as the boys grew, public schools were often a hard place for them in their christian walk
  • one son ran away from home for three days
  • trying to move them to christian schools was difficult because of different belief systems of the schools
  • one son was involved in playing poker during Spanish class
  • one son was kicked out of a school

You shared, "Yes, there were problems all along the way! I can understand...

  • frustration
  • angst
  • concern
  • anger
  • hurt
  • pain..."

YET, YOU SHARED HOPE AS YOU TOLD ABOUT...

  • God providing a christian mentor for your husband
  • Showing up at the church building "every time the doors were open"
  • Finding a place to serve at your local church
  • Other christian mothers who were support and encouragement
  • After you moved, you even traveled across state to find the best church home for your family and asked a realtor to find you a house within 5 minutes of that church building
  • God blessed your faithfulness with such a house, a loving church family, and a tight knit community in which to raise your boys
  • Today, you have three God-loving sons who have attended christian universities, married, and given you six grandchildren
  • Today, your cup is running over with blessings!
  • Today, we can look at your journey and see how you TRUSTED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD OUR GOD...Thank you, Melva!

We look forward to hearing from you again in two weeks...

One of your final quotes, in part, "Motherly love is not much use if it is an emotion...true mothers have to be made of steel!".

.

2. HOPE IN THE MIDST OF POLITICAL TURMOIL

Sermon by Dan Cooper

.

Through the end of the year our two preachers will be preaching sermons from the book of Isaiah. I am amazed at the connection that the scriptures at the beginning of the sermon have with today's post:

.

Isaiah 33:22

"For the LORD is our Judge,

The LORD is our Lawgiver,

The LORD is our King;

He will save us." (Savior of the World)

.

Jeremiah 17:5

"Thus says the LORD,

'Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind

And makes flesh his strength,

And whose heart turns away from the LORD."

.

Over and over again, Dan reminded us not to trust in man...but to TRUST IN THE LORD...for that is where our HOPE comes from! So, we looked at the political unrest in the Old Testament. We looked at the hard times of the people. We saw that the prophet Isaiah lived through at least 4 different Kings. The first half of Isaiah (chapters 1-39) are filled with scathing denunciations and pronouncements about how terrible the people were living. In fact, in Isaiah 6:8 God was looking for someone to be His representative to the people and Isaiah said, "Here am I! Send me!"

.

Then later, Isaiah 40-66 is filled with CONSOLATION and HOPE and FUTURE BLESSINGS.

.

So, Dan raised some questions: "So, what is our HOPE? Is God a Republican or a Democrat?" Of course...neither! Yet, both political parties highlight platform issues that scriptures do uphold:

  • God cares about how we treat His earth.
  • God cares about social justice
  • God promotes equality among the races and genders
  • God expects us to pay taxes
  • God sanctioned marriage between one man and one woman
  • God views (and is involved with) life inside a mothers womb
  • God grants the governments authority to punish people who do wrong and reward those who do right

Fact check about who God endorses. God has used both pagan and righteous rulers to execute His will. Four examples in the Bible are:

  • Pharoah of Egypt
  • King Cyrus of Persia (Modern Day Iran)
  • King David of Israel
  • King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon (Modern Day Iraq)
    .

Don't put your trust in rulers! Put your TRUST IN GOD! He is in control!

Go back up and read the two scriptures at the beginning of Dan's sermon!

.

Thank you, Dan! You've given us alot to think about and pray for. You've given us more teaching on why it is so important to TRUST IN THE NAME OF THE LORD OUR GOD!

.

TWO MORE THINGS:

1. PRAYER REQUEST:
Please read our neice, Jauna's blog, who is a missionary in Ecuador. She has a prayer request that we can all honor. Thank you!
.
GOD, We pray for Jauna and Justin and their overwhelming responsibilities but more importantly we pray for these beautiful little children. Help them to stay together and have a christian home. You are the Deliverer, the Good Shepherd, the Great I AM...Thank You, Jesus!

NO MORE NIGHT: WE TRUST IN JESUS, THE LIGHT

Hey, what's for lunch?

Hope you have a few minutes to join me on

Ketchup and Mustard Saturday.

Let's "catch-up" on our thoughts for the week and

I'll tell you something that I think that we "must-do"!

.

CATCH-UP

I hope by now you've been able to see the movie FIREPROOF. If not, please put it on your MUST DO list. So many couples need the teaching that is in this movie. BE BLESSED!
.
I am just recovering from two days of a terrible stomach bug...it basically knocked me out. I'm so thankful for the ministering spirits of a husband and daughter who genuinely care when I am down and out. Guess what has been on my mind throughout it all? Our this week's song: NO MORE NIGHT! I've especially hummed the words:
"It’s not a dream, God will make all things new that day. Gone is the curse from which I stumbled and fell. Evil is banished to eternal hell.. No more night. No more pain. No more tears. Never crying again. And praises to the great "I AM." We will live in the light of the risen Lamb..."
.
For today's theme, I've thought alot about connecting you with some websites and blogs about the election or the economy but the more I think about it, maybe the best thing is for us to review this week on this blog, hopefully putting some of those things in perspective by keeping our focus where it needs to be...ON JESUS!!!! Click back through posts that will encourage or those you've missed...BE BLESSED!

MUST DO: PRAY!!!
.
John 8:12
"When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
.

Matthew 6:5-15
.
5 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
.
9 "This, then, is how you should pray:
"'Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, 10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'
.
14 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. "

.

Ephesians 1:18-19 "I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 and His incomparably great power for us who believe."

.

Colossians 1:13-20
.

"For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son (THE KINGDOM OF LIGHT), 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

.
  • 15 And He is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of all creation.

  • 16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things have been created by Him and for Him.

  • 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

  • 18 He is also head of the body, the church;

  • and He is the beginning, the first-born from the dead; so that He Himself might come to have first place in everything.

  • 19 For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fulness to dwell in Him,

  • 20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven."
