It is GOD who BLESSES and TRANSFORMS...

This is a blog for women (not just moms) who:

(1) Desire to be transformed by JESUS' LOVE, HOLINESS, AND GRACE;

(2) Believe that GOD'S WORD is the true Spirit food for HIS HOLY SPIRIT who lives within us;

(3) Submit to GOD and walk this journey of life with HIM transforming us more and more into HIS likeness.

It's a blog about the POWER OF TRANSFORMED LIVES. Let's begin with yours and mine and pass it on... 1 + 1 + 1...

Since GOD's HOLY SPIRIT lives inside a christian, let's choose to be nurtured and transformed by feasting daily on HOLY SPIRIT food - GOD's WORD - The Holy Bible..

My regular posts stopped in 2013, with a major move and the chronic illness and eventual death of our oldest daughter. Yes, we grieve daily, yet I am determined to continue to let the LIGHT of my LORD and SAVIOR shine through me. I have tried to start posting again, over the last few years, but have not been consistent. So, I think the biggest blessing for you and me both will be to intersperse some new posts while revisiting some of the former posts. Let's begin with "Oh, the JOY!" as we head into living through Fall 2019; meeting back here 1-2 days a week.

If you need daily encouragement, you will find plenty by clicky on past posts. When reading earlier posts, you will see that I often posted daily, following this format: ...Sunday in the SON, Meditation Monday, GratiTuesday, Women in the WORD Wednesday, Transforming Thursday, Family Fellowship Friday, Ketchup & Mustard Saturday.

There's a whole lot here! Take your time to browse.

Please come back and visit each week. Welcome!

Because of JESUS, we can be family,

Patti

TRANSFORMED MOMS:MOMS TRANSFORMED

Romans 12:1-2 "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

THE LIGHTHOUSE... PRAISING GOD FOR FORGIVENESS...

I am so convinced that the storms of life are weathered when we "look up", "see the light", and choose to be grateful that we know the LIGHT OF THE WORLD and that He allows us to partner with Him as light of the world.

As this blog has addressed repeatedly this year - living out the Be-attitudes is to have the mind of Christ. It is that mind of Christ that is light and salt in a dark and tasteless world. There are a few threads that run through these attitudes.... one that I see is FORGIVENESS. I am thankful that I have been called to FORGIVE like Jesus, I have considered that:

  • I must be poor in spirit to FORGIVE.

  • I must have mourned over my own sin and the sins of a lost and dying world, to FORGIVE others.

  • I must be willing to be meekly led by the Master to FORGIVE in His way as I live in His timing, not mine.

  • I must hunger and thirst to FORGIVE because it is righteous.

  • I must have mercy on the one whom I am FORGIVING.

  • I must FORGIVE from a pure heart with pure motives.

  • I must go in peace, as I FORGIVE.

  • I must understand that even if I FORGIVE in all the above ways, I still may be persecuted.

Women who FORGIVE - shine! Thank You, Jesus for teaching us how it's done!

I'm grateful that Lori Hernandez is joining us this week with guest posts on the wonderful topic of FORGIVENESS. Here is Lori's second post of the week:

Yesterday I posed the question,

“Are there some things that are just

too awful for God to expect us to FORGIVE?”

I think the answer to that is a firm NO!

The only sin that is mentioned in scripture as being unforgivable

is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit,

as mentioned in Luke 10:12.

So how, then, can we move past

the anger,

disappointment,

and hurt

when someone acts against us with evil intent?

I think, first we need to look to God as our example as the One who FORGAVE first. Our Sunday morning class, has been reading the book, by Dr. Gary Chapman, Anger: Handling a Powerful Emotion in a Godly Way. Dr. Chapman says,

"God’s FORGIVENESS of us serves as the model of how we are to
FORGIVE others..."

PATTI'S NOTE: Today, join us in praising God for the way He FORGIVES! Join us again tomorrow for what scripture says about FORGIVENESS and then on Transforming Thursday for some profound thoughts from Lori about the transformative power of forgiveness.

Love it! Obviously there is something I can still learn about forgiveness (which is something I blogged about today) since I was brought here through Heavenly Homemakers' link up. I look forward to reading this series.
