It is GOD who BLESSES and TRANSFORMS...

This is a blog for women (not just moms) who:

(1) Desire to be transformed by JESUS' LOVE, HOLINESS, AND GRACE;

(2) Believe that GOD'S WORD is the true Spirit food for HIS HOLY SPIRIT who lives within us;

(3) Submit to GOD and walk this journey of life with HIM transforming us more and more into HIS likeness.

It's a blog about the POWER OF TRANSFORMED LIVES. Let's begin with yours and mine and pass it on... 1 + 1 + 1...

Since GOD's HOLY SPIRIT lives inside a christian, let's choose to be nurtured and transformed by feasting daily on HOLY SPIRIT food - GOD's WORD - The Holy Bible..

My regular posts stopped in 2013, with a major move and the chronic illness and eventual death of our oldest daughter. Yes, we grieve daily, yet I am determined to continue to let the LIGHT of my LORD and SAVIOR shine through me. I have tried to start posting again, over the last few years, but have not been consistent. So, I think the biggest blessing for you and me both will be to intersperse some new posts while revisiting some of the former posts. Let's begin with "Oh, the JOY!" as we head into living through Fall 2019; meeting back here 1-2 days a week.

If you need daily encouragement, you will find plenty by clicky on past posts. When reading earlier posts, you will see that I often posted daily, following this format: ...Sunday in the SON, Meditation Monday, GratiTuesday, Women in the WORD Wednesday, Transforming Thursday, Family Fellowship Friday, Ketchup & Mustard Saturday.

There's a whole lot here! Take your time to browse.

Please come back and visit each week. Welcome!

Because of JESUS, we can be family,

Patti

TRANSFORMED MOMS:MOMS TRANSFORMED

Romans 12:1-2 "Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."

HE'S ALIVE... WORKING THROUGH TEENS...

Some of you have not had the opportunity to hear the story of what our church teen group did. It's a story of transformational love! I am so grateful that God reigns in both the old and young! Take a minute to link here to my Thursday post to see one of the many reasons I am thankful for this group of young people who have a heart for Jesus.

HE'S ALIVE! WOMEN TESTIFY!

MEDITATION MONDAY

.

Yesterday morning, in our women's class, we listened to "The 6 women who where there!" Yet, the whole time I listened to the words read, I kept thinking about the women doing the reading. Six women who love the LORD deeply! What if it would have really been them there that Friday at the cross and then Sunday morning hearing, "He's alive!"??!!

.

What if it would have been me?

.

What if it would have been you?

.

Matthew 28:1-6

"After the Sabbath,

at dawn on the first day of the week,

Mary Magdalene and the other Mary

went to look at the tomb.

2 There was a violent earthquake,

for an angel of the Lord

came down from heaven and,

going to the tomb,

rolled back the stone and sat on it.

3 His appearance was like lightning,

and his clothes were white as snow.

4 The guards were so afraid of him

that they shook and became like dead men.

5 The angel said to the women,

"Do not be afraid,

for I know that you are looking for Jesus,

who was crucified.

6 He is not here;

He has risen,

just as He said."

He's Alive!
by Don Francisco
.
The gates and doors were barred

And all the windows fastened down
I spent the night in sleeplessness

And rose at every sound
Half in hopeless sorrow

And half in fear the day
Would find the soldiers breakin' through

To drag us all away
.
And just before the sunrise

I heard something at the wall
The gate began to rattle

And a voice began to call
I hurried to the window

Looked down into the street
Expecting swords and torches

And the sound of soldiers' feet
.
But there was no one there but Mary

So I went down to let her in
John stood there beside me

As she told me where she'd been
She said they might have moved

Him in the night
And none of us knows where
The stone's been rolled away

And now His body isn't there
.
We both ran toward the garden

Then John ran on ahead
We found the stone and empty tomb

Just the way that Mary said
But the winding sheet they wrapped Him in

Was just an empty shell
And how or where they'd taken Him

Was more than I could tell
.
Oh something strange had happened there

Just what I did not know
John believed a miracle

But I just turned to go
Circumstance and speculation

Couldn't lift me very high
'Cause I'd seen them crucify Him

Then I saw Him die
.
Back inside the house again

The guilt and anguish came
Everything I'd promised Him

Just added to my shame
When at last it came to choices

I denied I knew His name
And even if He was alive

It wouldn't be the same
.
But suddenly the air was filled

With a strange and sweet perfume
Light that came from everywhere

Drove the shadows from the room
And Jesus stood before me

With his arms held open wide
And I fell down on my knees

And I just clung to Him and cried
.
Then He raised me to my feet

And as I looked into His eyes
The love was shining out from Him

Like sunlight from the skies
Guilt in my confusion

Dissappeared in sweet release
And every fear I'd ever had

Just melted into peace
.
He's alive!
Yes! He's alive!
Yes! He's alive!
And I'm forgiven!
Heaven's gates are open wide!
He's alive!
Yes! He's alive!
Oh! He's alive!
And I'm forgiven!
Heaven's gates are open wide!
He's alive!
yes He's alive!
Hallelujah! He's alive!
He's alive!
And I'm forgiven!
Heaven's gates are open wide!
He's alive!
He's alive!
He's alive!
I believe it!
He's alive!
Sweet Jesus!

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS... MARY, DID YOU KNOW???

KETCHUP AND MUSTARD SATURDAY
Catch Up and Must Do

Sorry! I already had my burger for the week! Wednesday I found myself close to a Sonic and Thursday I was in the same area. It was time for a visit!
As usual, I made sure I had mustard on my #1.
Again, this week, I've had time to drive and think.

.

I've thought a lot about the week Jesus had between Palm Sunday and the cross. His faithful perseverance and endurance is amazing! I've thought about where Mary was during that week, also. I'd like to visit with you today about that last week of Jesus' life. Since I've already had my burger. How about I talk and you eat?!!!?!??!

.

I'd like to recap His last week by listing what happened each day and then putting the Gospel Zip Codes for your easy reference. A Gospel Zip code tells you all the places in the gospels a certain story is found. For instance, Jesus Feeding the 5,000 is found in 14, 696. That means that story is found in Matthew 14, Mark 6, Luke 9, and John 6.

.

  • PALM SUNDAY: Jesus enters Jerusalem 21,11,19,12; Jesus spends the night in Bethany 21,11,00
  • MONDAY: Jesus curses the fig tree 21,11,00; Cleanses the Temple the second time 21,11,19,0; Healing in the Temple - 21,000; Leaves Jerusalem in evening - 0,11,00

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS... FAITHFUL LOVE ...

.

If there hadn't been a "Good Friday" we would not be family!!! He could have called ten thousand angels to rescue Him from death on a cross, but it was His faithful love that kept Him there...

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS...A WORK OF LOVE...

TRANSFORMING THURSDAY
.
As we begin a new month, I encourage you to look at our new memory verse and see the focus: LOVE! Love for the LORD... love for ourselves... love for our neighbors...
.
There is nothing as transforming as God's kind of love - AGAPE!
.

1 John 3:16-19 says,

"This is how we know what love is:

Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.
And we ought to lay down our lives
for our brothers.
If anyone has material possessions
and sees his brother in need
but has no pity on him,
how can the love of God be in him?
.
Dear children,
let us not love with words or tongue
but with actions and in truth."
.
We have a sister in Christ, who is a widow, in our church family who has really been having some hard times. Things have been so difficult for her recently! Then, when things were looking extremely challenging... they got worse!!! She broke her back! She was already using a walker! How could this happen? Now, she is in rehab trying to get herself where she can live independently.
.
In the meantime, Steve went to check on a rental property that she owned. Her renters had not been keeping up with the rent. What Steve found was gutt wrenching! The pictures below will tell the story of what seemed impossible to fix being possible. The renters had moved out taking all the copper plumbing with them.
.
The next couple weeks were a stir of activity as our church family considered how to meet our sister's needs. Spurred on by the faithful love of God and with love for our sister, a group of christian men talked with some of her extended family, checked with authorities, and formulated a plan.
.
When it happened this past weekend, transformation took place in a few hours time because of the love of God living and breathing through the teenagers in our church family, a handful of young adults, some adult sponsors, and some men who had a vision of what could be done.
.
I will tell that transformation story with pictures and then ask you to consider the possibilities of the kind of love that 1 Corinthians 13 talks about.
.
1 Corinthians 13:5-8 says,

"Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects,
always trusts,
always hopes,
always perseveres.
Love never fails..."

.
Here is the transformation made by God's love:
