Do you ever find yourself saying,
- "I got nothing!", or
- "I have nothing left." or
- "I'm empty!"
I love the promises that fill Christ's beatitudes. Our beatitude for the month is Matthew 5:6 :
Holy words long preserved
for our walk in this world,
They resound with God's own heart
Oh, let the Ancient words impart.
Words of Life, words of Hope
Give us strength, help us cope
In this world, where e'er we roam
Ancient words will guide us Home.
.
Ancient words ever true
Changing me, and changing you.
We have come with open hearts
Oh let the ancient words impart...

Yesterday morning, as our church family assembled on the LORD's Day, I could not get the people of Japan off of my mind. They need water, food, and shelter! Many are still searching for loved ones. They need hope! They need to be able to cope!
. .
I have contact with some missionaries to Japan who are keeping us updated. One christian from the Sendai, Japan area sent this message:
どうぞ皆さん、神様を信じてお祈りください.
"Please, with faith in God, PRAY."
.
43 minutes ago, Debi posted that Akira Mawatari has been located. He is now safe! How did I learn this? I joined the FB page "Working and Praying for Japan earthquake victims!"
.
Join me in hungering and thirsting to "do the right thing"... to do "what Jesus would do" for the people of Japan... for the people of Haiti... for our neighbors...
.
Hunger and thirst to live the righteous life that only comes through Jesus Christ. He is OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
.
Yesterday, Dan reminded us that God loves to use fallen people. He loves to use broken people. God loves us and wants to use us for His glory.
.
The ancient words in us... THE WORD IN US... will fill us to light our world!
